Hi... hope your summer was fun and gave you plenty of writing opportunities. My writer's notebook is full of funny quotes, story ideas, people watching expeditions while we were kept busy with work, travel, out-of-town visitors and so much activity, time flew by...now it's the middle of September, back to business!
I've been busy creating online courses in my spare time as well as editing my middle grade chapter book series I'm trying to get published so the blog was put on hold...until now!

During my online course creating process, I learned a lot about my writing style and how to convey messages without having direct feedback (like in my workshops!).
I love writing so much and heard so many beginner writers struggling to finish their books, it made me sad.
I don't have that problem, I come up with an idea, hash it out in my mind, write some details down (in my Story Binder worksheets, course coming soon), then I come up with an outline and finally sit down to write the story.
I've done it several times and refine the process with every story. My system of story writing baffles some of my writing friends who get stuck in the middle, or during one of the pinch points their story fizzles out, never to be picked up again.
I'm sure it wasn't the intention when the writer started the story but it happens to so many new writers, beginning their storytelling journey, I thought I'd jump in and help.
I've been teaching beginning writer workshops for a while now and most of my students struggle with that part...how do I finish this mess of a story?
And... that's where the idea for online courses came from. People who aren't ready to call themselves a writer, but wanting to learn how to write a story in a safe, comfortable environment, now can.
Each lesson I publish will be the next step in the story writing process I use to finish my stories. They don't happen overnight, but over the next few weeks, I'll release another lesson and then another lesson and see how many people can finish their story by the end!
